About Me
Welcome to “A Tiny Traveler”!
Hello there, fellow travelers! I’m Frank, the voice behind A Tiny Traveler. Born and raised in the quaint town of Schwarzenberg, Saxony, Germany, my love for exploring the world started at a young age. After completing my PhD in Norway—yes, I survived the frigid winters!—I found myself frequently on the move as an engineer and CEO, traveling to conferences and chasing new horizons across the globe.
My journey has taken me from the icy winds of Svalbard to the sun-baked deserts of the UAE, and just about everywhere in between—Europe, Asia, the USA, and beyond. Whether I’m walking the bustling streets of a new city or hiking a remote mountain trail, travel has always been my way of hitting the reset button, sparking inspiration, and gaining fresh perspectives.
But here’s the thing—I’ve learned that as much as we love exploring the world, we also need to be mindful of how we treat it. Sustainability is at the heart of everything I do, not just as an explorer but also in my everyday life. We only have one planet, and it’s crucial that we keep it beautiful and thriving for future generations. That’s why, no matter where I go, I make sure my trips are as eco-friendly as possible—from the conferences I attend to the vacations I take.
On A Tiny Traveler, I’m not just here to share my travel tips, hacks, and stories; I’m also committed to showing you how to travel in a way that leaves a lighter footprint. Whether you’re navigating the chaotic markets of Bangkok, venturing into the wilderness of Nepal, or simply looking for ways to make your next weekend getaway more eco-conscious, I’ve got you covered.
So, whether you’re a seasoned traveler or someone just dipping their toes into adventure, let’s embark on this journey together. There’s a big, beautiful world out there, and it’s waiting for us—let’s discover it one small (and sustainable) step at a time.
Happy (and responsible) travels!
Frank R.
